We live in a world of data. While many people associate data careers with big tech firms such as Microsoft and Google, the reality is that data and the data scientists who manage it all are everywhere, in large and small firms as well as government agencies. They work in diverse sectors ranging from fintech to healthcare, and e-commerce to brick-and-mortar retail firms. These key employees manage and analyze information that keeps today's businesses running.

USF’s master’s in data intelligence prepares you to analyze information and tap into a wide range of skills to extract findings, uncover unseen patterns, and answer large-scale questions that factor into critical decision-making. People earning a master’s degree in this fast-growing field are prepared for lucrative, exciting jobs such as:

  • Data Scientist
  • Data Analyst
  • Program Manager
  • Director of Performance and Quality Improvement
  • Engineering Manager

These jobs can command six-figure salaries and are in high demand across a variety of industries, including logistics, finance, health care, energy, security, manufacturing, and more.

The field is experiencing significant growth, with a rising demand for professionals specializing in data analysis, big data engineering, and data architecture to effectively handle the substantial influx of data. Employment of data scientists is projected to grow 35% from 2022 to 2032, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is much faster than the average for all occupations.
