Janet K. Outlaw

MASTER OF ARTS IN READING EDUCATION

Janet Kim Outlaw is an assistant professor and coordinator for Literacy Studies and the M.A. in Reading Education. She holds a PhD in Teacher Education and Learning Sciences from NC State.

She teaches elementary literacy methods and mentors teacher candidates. Her research explores dialogic comprehension and writing pedagogies, practitioner research, and community-engaged teacher education, with work published in Literacy Research & Instruction, Literacy Research: Theory, Method, and Practice, and Language Arts.
